Welcome to the A/V archive for the ULTIMATE STARWARS VS. STARTREK DATABASE

Below are audio and video files of some of the most contested points in the Trek vs. Wars debates.

Unless otherwise specified, all .mov files were recorded and formatted by Brian Young. Thanks again, Brian!

Last Update: 1/1/01-- Links fix. Thanks, Mike Griffiths!

TNG's "The Outrageous Okona":

WORF: "They're now locking lasers on us."

RIKER: "Lasers?"

WORF: "Yes sir."

PICARD: "Lasers can't even penetrate our navigation shields. Don't they know that?"

TNG's "The Outrageous Okona":

PICARD: "No. They could fire 'till they're lasers ran dry; they wouldn't hurt the Enterprise. My (dilemma) is what to do with you."

TNG's "Conundrums":

DATA: "The destroyer has minimal shields. Their disruptor capacity appears to be only 2.1 megajoules."

RIKER: "They're no match for the Enterprise.."

TNG's "Conundrums":

DATA: "The pods are equipped with fusion-generated pulse lasers and minimal shielding."

RIKER: "Not much power there."

PICARD: "Forward shields to maximum."

TNG's "Conundrums":

WORF: "I 've just completed a survey of our tactical systems. We are equipped with ten phaser banks, 250 photon torpedoes, and a high-capacity shield grid."

TNG's "The Pegasus":

RIKER: "I recommend we destroy the asteroid. It will take most of our photon torpedoes, but it will preclude any possibility of the Pegasus falling into Romulan hands."

TNG's "The Dauphin":

DATA: "Sensors indicate that the communication originated from a terawatt source on the planet"

RIKER: "That's more power than our entire ship can generate."

DATA: "It is what is needed to penetrate the atmosphere."

RIKER: "Which means we lack the ability to respond, sir."

TNG's "Survivors":

WORF: (paraphrase)"Sir! They've hit us with 400 gigawatts of particle energy!"

TNG's "Legacy":

LaForge: "That and about two kilometers of solid granite above their head."

TNG's "Legacy":

LaForge: "I'll need two hours, to refit the ship's phasers for drilling."

TOS "The Corbomite Maneuver":

KIRK: "Green leaves??"

YEOMAN RAND: "Dietary salad, sir. Dr. McCoy ordered your diet card changed. I thought you knew."

McCOY: "Your uh, weight was up a couple pounds, remember?"

DS9's "The Die Is Cast":

TAIN: "Our plan is to wait until we've entered orbit of the Founder's planet, then decloak and begin massive bombardment."

DS9's "The Die Is Cast":

LOVOK: "Computer analysis indicates that the planet's crust will be destroyed within one hour. And the mantle, within five."

DS9's "The Die Is Cast":

SENSOR OFFICER: "The first barrage is complete."

TAIN: "Effect?"

SENSOR OFFICER: "Thirty percent of planetary crust destroyed in opening volley. No change in life form readings......"

DS9's "The Die Is Cast":

GARAK: "They're using an automated transponder to send back false sensor readings. The planet's deserted!"

"The Empire Strikes Back":

VADER: "What is it, General?"

VEERS: "My Lord, the fleet has moved out of lightspeed. ComScan has detected an energy field protecting an area of the sixth planet of the Hoth system. The field is strong enough to deflect any bombardment."

"The Empire Strikes Back":

CONTROLLER"General, there's a fleet of Star Destroyers coming out of hyperspace in sector four."

RIEEKAN: "Reroute all power to the energy shield."

"The Empire Strikes Back":

PIETT: "They'll be in range of our tractor beam in moments, my Lord."

"The Empire Strikes Back":

PIETT: "Lord Vader, our ships have completed their scan of the area and found nothing. If the Millennium Falcon went into light speed it'd be on the other side of the galaxy by now."

VADER: "Alert all commands. Calculate every possible destination along their last known trajectory."

PIETT: "Yes, my Lord. We'll find them."

"The Empire Strikes Back":

VEERS: "Target, maximum firepower."
